Gymnasts dismissed from the team were junior Natalie Vaculik, a scholarship athlete, junior Jasmine Arnold,a walk-on, and sophomore Caroline Bradford, also a walk on.

Romanian Team Alternates

I've been going through some of my old stuff and trying to fill in info I never got around to grabbing at various occasions and one thing I'm missing is a few of the Romanian World/Olympic alternates. I thought I had them all, but I'm missing:

2008-2012 Olympic Alternates

Worlds:
1978-1981
1994
2006-2007
2011

Can anyone fill in the blanks? Also, Ghimpu was a last-minute replacement at the 1997 US Vs Romania meet. Does anyone know who she replaced? The other team members were Milo, Gogean, Amanar, Bican, Cacovean, & Hatagan.

Off-Topic/Casual Personal Chat Thread

I decided to go ahead and start a thread for people to discuss matters pertaining to their personal lives since it seems like a lot of forum users are getting irritated with the way personal stories and anecdotes are sometimes derailing conversations about gymnastics. I would post this in the off-topic section of the board, but the artistic gymnastics sub-forum seems to be the only part of the board that's still even remotely active. Let's go ahead and try and get to know each other better here instead. :)

I for one cannot wait for college football to start back up because I feel like the gymternet in general has been excessively petty so far this year. People freaking out about the validity of teenage friendships, losing it over Simone doing DWTS, etc...not needed, right? :rolleyes:

Excluding dismounts, what were the best exected connections on any apparatus? Difficulty doesn't matter, but it has to be more than justwolf + split. Japanese Gymnastics Appreciation - From Rio to Tokyo

Seems like a good time to start a new thread on a team that should prove to be very interesting on the women's side building up to 2020.

This weekend will be the All-Japan Championships, and from the start lists I've already seen, it looks like everyone from both Olympic teams plans to compete (including Kohei Uchimura).
